Safeguarding and Child Protection are key priorities for our whole school community and every member of staff and the governing body hold responsibility for ensuring everyone is safe and feels safe from harm at all times. We have robust policies and procedures to ensure any issues and/or concerns are dealt with in a prompt and effective manner, working with a range of agencies, to safeguard children and families.

At Driffield Northfield Infant School, we recognise that your child is our responsibility and concern. We want to work in partnership with you, and discuss with you, any concerns we may have or that you have.
It is a priority to inform and involve you at every stage in your child's time at the school.
Since the first priority is your child's welfare, there may be rare occasions when our concern about your child means that we have to consult other agencies even before we contact you.
The ER Safeguarding Children Partnership has laid down the procedures we follow, and the school has adopted a Child Protection Policy in line with this for the safety of all.
